McCann

Raymond G. McCann, 80, of Butler, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024.

He was born in Butler, on Nov. 1, 1943, to the late John and Lillian (Hohn) McCann.

After graduating from Butler High School, he then earned his bachelor’s degree from Penn State University in electrical engineering. After honorably serving in the U.S. Navy, Raymond worked at Armco, Pullman and most recently taught high school physics.

Raymond was known as an intelligent, hardworking and dedicated teacher. He was also known for his immense love of dogs, having many throughout his life.

He was the brother of Joyce Ace; and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, David McCann.

MCCANN — All services for Raymond G. McCann, who died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society.
