Dedo

Carol (Round) Lasher Dedo, 84, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024 at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh. She had been diagnosed with multiple myeloma in July 2023.

Born on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 1939, in Cadogan, Carol was the daughter of the late Albert and Kathleen (Sitvason) Round.

She belonged to the Ford City Senior Center, Pattonville VFW, Ford City Eagles and the Women’s Group that meets at New Life Center. She was a lifelong member of Appleby Manor Church and the oldest member of the Nellie Bly Chapter of the Questers.

A 1957 graduate of Ford City High School, Carol went on to graduate in 1978 from Butler County Community College where she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. She worked as a secretary for the Gumout Division of Pennzoil in Butler until 1989.

Carol enjoyed frequenting yard sales, collecting antiques, listening to country and oldies music, gardening in her backyard and shopping at Boscov’s. Most of all, Carol loved spending time with her family.

Carol will be remembered by two children, Cindy (Jim) Hindman of Butler and Ron (Lori) Lasher of Broadview Heights, Ohio; four grandchildren, Cara (Tyler) McGrady of Evans City, Callie (Josh) Rogerson of Butler, Greg (Megan) Lasher of Los Angeles, Calif. and Andrea Lasher of Rocky River, Ohio; three great-grandsons, Hudson, Coleman and Clark; one sister, Kaye (Ed) Donnelly of Mentor, Ohio; one nephew, one niece and one great-niece.

DEDO — Visitation for Carol (Round) Lasher Dedo, who died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at MANTINI FUNERAL HOME, 701 6th Ave., Ford City. Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Marty Neal.
