Denis D. Edinboro, 70, of Slippery Rock, passed away Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023, at UPMC Passavant-McCandless in Pittsburgh.

He was born Dec. 27, 1952, in Butler, the son of the late Ernest W. and Betty (Snyder) Edinboro.

Denis enjoyed watching NASCAR and football. He had been a member of Pleasant Valley Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He had worked as a machinist and a coal miner.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra L. (Smith) Edinboro of Slippery Rock; daughter, Amy (Brian) Campbell of Butler; a son, Adam (Heather) Edinboro of Harrisville; four grandchildren, Madison and Taylor Campbell and Everett and Abigail Edinboro; a sister, Patricia Yvonne Dunkerley of Butler; and a brother, Ernest Edward Edinboro of Slippery Rock.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant sons.

EDINBORO — Friends of Denis D. Edinboro, who died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023, will be received from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m. Thursday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. The Rev. Dave Bindewald will officiate.

Military honors will take place at the funeral home following the service.

Private interment will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
