The Passavant Community in Zelienople will host a ribbon pinning ceremony for veterans of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War on Friday, Nov. 10, a day in advance of Veterans Day.

Six veterans in particular will be honored at the ceremony: Maurice “Pete” Bish, Joan Gill, Jim Slingluff, Augie Liehr, Andy Szakelyhidi and Donald Wunnenberg.

State Rep. Stephenie Scialabba, R-12th, will take part in the ceremony.

The ribbon pinning ceremony on Friday will be preceded by a veterans breakfast on Thursday morning at the Passavant Community. This breakfast will be open to all veterans, as well as spouses and widows of veterans.
