Patricia Bonzo

Bonzo

Patricia Ann Bonzo, 83, of New Sewickley Township, went home to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023.

Born in North Sewickley Townsip, on June 25, 1940, Patty was the daughter of the late John F. Pflugh and Margaret Emma Pflugh (Shaffer).

Pat was a lifelong resident of New Sewickley Township, where she lived on a piece of the family’s beloved farm property. She and her husband, Robert D. Bonzo, were blessed with 64 years of marriage. Their life together was a reflection of God’s unconditional, unfailing love.

Pat enjoyed cooking and baking and was especially known for her pink angel food cakes. Anyone who knew Patty knew her love for fashion and jewelry. She was seldom seen without a little extra sparkle. Pat was a wonderfully generous mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who often showed her love through thoughtful gifts and invaluable time spent with her family. It is the countless afternoons and evenings together on back porches, around dining room tables, or celebrating with birthday cakes that will be deeply missed by her family; the memories of these everyday moments will always be treasured by those who loved her most. Above all else, Pat will be remembered as a prayer warrior whose heart for Jesus will live on generationally through the lives and testimonies of her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by her children, Robert “Chris” Bonzo, Todd Bonzo and his wife Joy, and Lynn Bonzo; her grandchildren, Hannah Grace George and her husband David, Hunter Madison Teny and her husband Andrew, Cooper, Nathaniel and Alissa; and her great-grandchildren, Cohen, Jensen and Callie Grace.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard Duane Bonzo; and her brothers, John and Robert Pflugh.
