Sustainable bath and body product lessons
The Slippery Rock University Macoskey Center is hosting a Holiday Bath & Body Product Workshop Series, which will teach people how to make their own bath and body products as holiday gifts in a sustainable way.
Each of the four workshops will teach participants how to make a different product, including salve, lotion, soaking salts and face wash. The classes are done in partnership with a Park & Resource Management class in the university’s biology program department.
Each session takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Macoskey Center, and the sessions are Nov. 8, 9, 14 and 15. The classes cover thieves' oil and healing salve on Nov. 8, lip balm and body lotion on Nov. 9, bath oil and soaking salts on Nov. 14, and lip scrub and face wash on Nov. 15.
The sessions are open to the public of all ages. Each session costs $15, or $10 with student ID. To register, visit the Macoskey Center’s website.
