McAnallen

Claude V. “Mack” McAnallen Jr., 89, of Butler, passed away on Oct. 14, 2023, at his home.

Born on Feb. 24, 1934, he was the son to the late Claude V. McAnallen and the late Lillian B. Smith McAnallen.

Claude graduated from Butler High School. He was a member of the Butler Outdoors Club and gave to various animal, children and environmental charities. Claude enjoyed Rails to Trails, hunting, bicycling, walking and most of all spending time with family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Claude is survived by his wife, Alice L. Timblin McAnallen, whom he married on July 15, 1957; four children, Belinda S. Wagoner, Brenda L. (Matt) Guterry, Vincent E. (Heidi) McAnallen and Carol D. (Marty) Martinson; seven grandchildren, Meghan McAnallen, Dylan McAnallen, Robert Wagoner, Matthew Guterry, Savanna Martinson, Allison Martinson, and Mack Martinson; seven great-grandchildren, Milo, Maddox, Isaac, Charlotte, Camren, Payten and Pyper; “adopted children,” Larry and Kelly; a special niece, Claudia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one grandson, Nathan Guterry; sister, Wanda McAnallen; infant sister, Linda Sue McAnallen; sister, Shirley Hepler; and son-in-law, Don Wagoner.

MCANALLEN — A private memorial service for Claude V. “Mack” McAnallen Jr., who died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023, will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements were entrusted to THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
