Daniel J. Pepin, 62, of Cranberry Township, passed away suddenly on Friday, Oct. 6, 2023.

He was born in Evergreen Park, Ill., on March 7, 1961, to the late Donald “Guy” Pepin and Kathleen (Phelan) Griffin.

Daniel received his bachelor’s degree from Columbia University where he was a member of Kappa Delta Rho. He then got his master’s degree at Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. The majority of his career was in the Chicago area. At the time of his passing, he was senior vice president credit officer at Dollar Bank FSB in Pittsburgh.

He loved all animals, especially his fur babies, and was a generous supporter of animal charities. He also was a past president of the Chicago Hogs, president of the Basketball Booster Club, was inducted into the Columbia University Hall of Fame for Wrestling, was a dedicated basketball dad, and loved scuba diving. He was a loving husband and a dedicated father.

Daniel was the beloved husband of Irma (Martinez) Pepin; father of Tyler and Danielle Pepin; and brother of Dawn (Steve) Pinney, Don (Debbi) Pepin and Tina (Tommy) Young. He also is survived by two nieces and two nephews.

PEPIN — Services for Daniel J. Pepin, who died Friday, Oct. 6, 2023, were held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
