Susan G. Everette, 76, of Penn Township, Butler, passed away on Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, while under the care of Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 5, 1947, in Natrona Heights, she was the daughter of the late Harry Gibson and Dorothy Lloyd Gibson.

Susan worked for Magnetics in East Butler until her retirement. She was an avid gardener of flowers and vegetables. She also enjoyed bowling on the Magnetics Mixed League and doing jigsaw puzzles. She enjoyed the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Pirates and especially loved the Steelers. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Jodi S. Shirey and her husband, Patrick, of Butler; her grandchildren, Tia and Taetum Shirey; her great-grandchild, Hunter; and her brother, Joseph Gibson of Butler.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles P. Everette, who passed away in 2018; and her brother, Timothy Gibson.

EVERETTE — In accordance with the family’s wishes, there will be no public services for Susan G. Everette, who died Friday, Sept. 29, 2023.

Arrangements have been entrusted to BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER OF CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.
