BUTLER TWP — Johnna Hill had nine kills as the Butler County Community College volleyball team defeated CCAC, 3-0, over the weekend.

Match scores were 25-15, 25-6, 25-19.

Lexi Ruckdeschel tallied nine kills and five aces for the Pioneers (11-3) while Jozee Weaver and Zoe Morley had six kills each. Nina Szymanski had 17 digs and Rosie Carden 26 assists.

The Pioneers play at 6 p.m. Wednesday at PSU Greater Allegheny.

Golf

Cory Voltz and Xander Downing shared medalist honors by shooting 80 as BC3 defeated Westmoreland CCC and CCAC at Somerset Country Club. The Pioneers scored 329, Westmoreland 356 and CCAC 360.

Voltz and Downing are Butler graduates. Mars grad Jonah Kozora shot an 82, Seneca Valley’s Devin Latsko 87 and Butler’s Xavier Farmer 97.

Now 10-0, the Pioneers compete Friday at Glengarry Golf Club.
