South Butler Library to kick off Dementia Friends support group
The South Butler Community Library in Saxonburg will debut its Dementia Friends support group with an information session on Thursday, Sept. 21.
This will lead into monthly meetings of the Dementia Friends support group, which will take place every third Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m., starting Monday, Oct. 23.
Dementia Friends is a global organization whose mission is to change the messaging around dementia and Alzheimer’s disease for the better.
The introductory information session is free and open to all community members, regardless of whether they themselves are dealing with dementia, know someone who does, or have any prior knowledge of it.
