Of Note: The 9/11 Memorial Museum invites visitors to learn about the history of the 9/11 attacks and 1993 World Trade Center bombing at the site where the Twin Towers once stood. The Museum’s dynamic blend of architecture, archaeology, and history creates an unforgettable encounter with the story of the attacks, their aftermath, and the people who experienced these events.

Of Note: The 9/11 Memorial is a tribute of remembrance, honoring the 2,977 people killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center site, near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and at the Pentagon, as well as the six people killed in the World Trade Center bombing on Feb. 26, 1993.

Flight 93 National Memorial

Of Note: Flight 93 National Memorial is the nation's memorial to the passengers and crew of Flight 93. The Tower of Voices stands in musical tribute at the gateway to the memorial. The Visitor Center Complex, on the hill above the crash site, introduces their story. The Memorial Plaza borders the crash site, which consists of the impact site (marked by a boulder) and debris field. The fields and woods beyond are the final resting place for the passengers and crew as their remains are still present.

Of Note: The Pentagon Memorial captures that moment in time at 9:37 a.m. when 184 lives became intertwined for eternity. Each victim’s age and location at the time of the attack have been permanently inscribed into the Memorial by the placement and direction of each of the 184 Memorial Units.

Of Note: The Pearl Harbor National Memorial and its partners preserve, interpret, and commemorate the history of World War II in the Pacific from the events leading to the Dec. 7, 1941, attack on Oah'u, to peace and reconciliation.

Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum

Of Note: The marble tiled floors of Soldiers & Sailors lead visitors on a pathway of discovery with a timeline of themed displays ranging from the Civil War through the United State’s most recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan

The North Hall brings visitors into the 20th century beginning with exhibits featuring World War I and continuing through World War II. Rare uniforms, helmets and other objects tell stories in 15 different display areas.
