Butler 10U Little Leaguers win District 25
The Butler 10U Little League team won the District 25 championship with a 6-5 win over Clarion on Friday night. Talon Netzel scored on a walk-off passed ball to secure Butler’s 6-5 win over Clarion on Friday night, claiming the 10U Little League District 25 title.
Butler trailed 5-4 entering the bottom of the sixth inning, which Ben McCune led off with a single before stealing second. Netzel worked a walk, then both advanced on a passed ball. Colton Franklin singled to plate McCune and slide Netzel to third before the game-winning play.
Luke Williams had an inside-the-park grand slam in the bottom fourth, erasing a 3-0 Clarion lead. Eamon Gaillot and Connor Hohn combined for nine strikeouts on the mound.
