Helen Shannon

Shannon

In loving memory of Mrs. Helen G. Shannon, who died on Sept. 3, 2023, at the age of 98. She had lived an enjoyable, long, and wonderful life.

Helen was very active within the local community and enjoyed being of service. She was a well-known, longtime volunteer for Meals on Wheels, serving food and companionship to all those who were in need. She also was a former deacon of White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church.

Helen was an excellent and dedicated former federal employee of the Veterans Administration. She received frequent recognition and awards for being an outstanding employee during her tenure at the VA. Helen was deeply devoted to restoring the health and well-being to many of the men and women in uniform, who served our country, that were her patients.

She is survived by her five loving children as well as their respective spouses; in addition to her five wonderful grandchildren, to include their spouses; and seven adorable great-grandchildren. She loved all her family and was very proud of every one of her children.

Helen will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew her well, especially her immediate family.

We are all blessed and extremely fortunate to have had her in our lives for as long as we did.
