Prex hat trick leads SV soccer win
Tyler Prex scored three goals on Saturday as Seneca Valley’s boys soccer team opened its season with a 5-1 victory over Norwin.
Cole Kamarec and Zach Garma also scored for the Raiders.
Mars 2, Knoch 1 — Landon Rocke and James Jayamohan scored for the Planets. Max Davis had an assist and earned a penalty kick.
Austin Friedline scored the lone Knoch goal.
Girls Volleyball
Senior setter Anora Robare and outside hitters Avalee Demidovich and Molly Bissell led the way as Slippery Rock swept Moniteau, 3-0. Scores were 28-26, 25-18, 25-9.
Sophomores Adison Novad and Lexi Plesakov led the Rockets in digs in the back row.
Marissa Pry had four aces, four kills and three digs, Abbey Jewart two aces, three kills and 13 assists, Davina Pry four kills and four digs for Moniteau.
Girls Soccer
Karns City split a pair of matches at the Indiana Tournament, defeating Clearfield, 4-2, and dropping a 1-0 decision to Indiana.
Phoebe Brandon scored three goals for the Gremlins and Ava Kamenski netted one.
