Surgical company moves into Eracers Park
While go-carts and bumper boats may no longer be available to ride at Eracers, the location is bringing in business in other ways. A Pittsburgh-based surgical supplies company moved into its former banquet hall in early July, said Eracers owner Estle Harp.
In the past, the former banquet hall housed video games and served as a venue for different events, including blood drives and concerts, Harp said. Now, it’s rented by Surgical Product Solutions as the company expands its surgical equipment division.
Harp said the surgical company will bring “good things to the community” as it looks to hire more employees.
Harp said his business, co-owned with his wife, Cindy, opened in 1986. He said that with the exception of miniature golf, other park features have closed due to lack of staffing.
Butler County Chamber of Commerce president Jordan Grady said that while he does not know much about Surgical Product Solutions, Butler County “is open for business.”
“(Butler) is one of the most attractive counties in the commonwealth to start and/or grow your business,” Grady said. “From competitive taxes to an enhanced quality of life it’s no surprise the success we are experiencing.”
