Finecey

Charlotte Alberta Finecey, of Slippery Rock, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023.

She was born on July 7, 1942, in Tarentum, Pa., to Marlyn Forest Linamen and Margaret Ellen Campbell Linamen. She graduated from West Deer High School in 1960.

Charlotte enjoyed her life. Following school, she married Robert Lee Finecey Sr. on July 12, 1961. She worked at numerous printing companies alongside her husband. Together, they raised their children and traveled around the tri-state area to several horse shows. She was an active member of multiple horse show clubs, including both the Centaur Saddle Club and the Pennsylvania Amateur Horseman Association. Besides horses, she and Robert enjoyed cars. They were members of the Streetkars Car Association, which performed the first car show in the Civic Arena.

Survivors include daughter, Jody Lynn (Tim) Brandon of Slippery Rock; son, Marlyn Troy (Linda) Finecey of Slippery Rock; three sisters, Betsy Hockenberry of North Carolina, Donna (Bill) Machen of Verona, Pa., and Debbie (David) Riley of Tarentum; four grandchildren, Jessica, Heather, Joshua and Jerrod; as well as three great-grandchildren.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Robert L. Finecey Jr.; as well as two brothers, Marlyn Linamen and Lester Linamen.

FINECEY — There will be no public services for Charlotte Alberta Finecey, who died Monday, July 17, 2023.

Arrangements are under the direction of SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.
