Tomayko

Thomas R. Tomayko Sr., 90, of Harmony, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023.

Born Sept. 7, 1932, in New Kensington, he was the son of the late Max J. and Anna Herstek Tomayko.

Tom was a proud Army veteran who served during the Korean War era. He was employed by Pandrol Inc., in Bridgeport, N.J., as a general manager until his retirement in 1995. He was a member of the Zelienople American Legion Post 474.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 70 years, Mary E. Dancisin Tomayko, whom he married on June 13, 1953; his children, Thomas M. (Carol) Tomayko, Larry R. Tomayko, Robert D. Tomayko and Ronald S. Tomayko; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his sister, Dorothy Kuhn; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his four brothers, Max, Emil, Melvin and Carl Tomayko.

TOMAYKO — Friends of Thomas R. Tomayko Sr., who died Thursday, July 13, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Divine Grace Parish, St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople. Friends please meet at the church.

Tom will be laid to rest at St. Gregory Cemetery in Zelienople.
