McElheny

Darlene McElheny, 82, of Sarver, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Allegheny General Hospital.

Born July 11, 1941, in New Kensington, she was the daughter of Arthur Jones and Esther Kiebler Jones.

Darlene had worked as a merchandiser for Kmart and drove a school van for W.L. Roenigk. She was very active in bowling throughout her life. Darlene especially enjoyed spending time with family and their dog, Chewy.

Surviving are her husband, Loyal T. McElheny, whom she married Oct. 15, 1960; her daughter, Michelle (Jim) Hindman, of Sarver; her brother, Arthur F. (Sandy) Jones, of Apollo; and two grandsons, Kevin (Chelsea Cimbala) Hindman, of Apollo, and Bryan (Konstantina) Hindman, of Sarver.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.

MCELHENY — Friends of Darlene McElheny, who died Wednesday, July 12, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Shawn Smith officiating.
