Zoe Fischer, of Butler, was named the 2023 recipient of the Ronald W. '64 & Joyce E. Brandon Academic Scholarship from Grove City College, which provides a total of $8,400 in academic funds.

Fischer is an incoming freshman at Grove City College and will major in biology and health studies.

The annual scholarship is renewable for the following three years if academic standards are met.

To date, the scholarships have assisted 26 Butler County students.

The students currently receiving Brandon scholarships are senior Amber Flynn of Boyers, junior Robert Lipnichan III of Bruin and sophomore Brian McDonnell of Seven Fields.
