Thacik

Elsie D. Thacik, 92, of Saxonburg, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023, at Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born Aug. 23, 1930, in McKees Rocks, she was the daughter of the late John Dolak and Anna Fredor Dolak.

She was a homemaker. She loved word search puzzles, cross-stitch and sewing. She also loved spending time with her family. Elsie was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot.

Surviving are her loving children, John E. (Mary Ann) Thacik of Venetia, Pa., and Susan M. (Richard) Duttenhoeffer of Saxonburg; four grandchildren, John G. (Jacque) Thacik, Julie (Andy) Marencic, Rachel (Aaron) Risden and Hannah Duttenhoeffer; five great-grandchildren; and brothers, John Dolak of North Hills and David (Patricia) Dolak of Columbia, S.C.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Thacik, who passed away in 1998; brother, George Dolak; sister, Julia Ann Leo; and great-grandson, Paul Marencic.

THACIK — There will be no visitation for Elsie D. Thacik, who died Monday, June 19, 2023. A memorial service is being planned for a later date.

Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023, or St. Luke Lutheran Church, 330 Hannahstown Road, Cabot, PA 16023.
