Second grade students at Ehrman Crest Elementary School enjoyed the final day of the school’s Visiting Artist program on Tuesday, May 30.

Artists from the Pittsburgh Council of the Arts and ArtsPath of Butler County visited the school throughout the month of May to create a collaborative mobile that focused on upcycling or reusing materials to create artworks and keeping those materials out of landfills and waterways.

The mobile will be hung above the middle school cafeteria for all to see.

The artist who visited Tuesday also has been working on a display in the school’s kiln room, where passersby can observe the artistic process.
