Nicki Kellogg, an operations manager for FedEx Ground in Zelienople, was honored last week for saving the life of a fellow employee.

Saveri Nandigama, an analyst supporting FedEx as part of Edelman Global Advisory, said Kellogg’s actions exemplified FedEx’s “Purple Promise.”

“The Purple Promise is a way of framing FedEx accomplishments that are done by FedEx employees, stepping up to help others in need,” Nandigama said. “Because, technically, this isn’t in the FedEx job description: helping an unresponsive colleague.”

According to Nandigama, Kellogg was just 30 minutes into her shift when she discovered an unresponsive team member with a weak pulse.
