Only probation for ‘heinous crime’?
The Wednesday, March 15, 2023, edition of the Butler Eagle on page 8 has an article about what I consider to be a heinous crime. A 16-year-old girl was kidnapped, drugged (with alcohol) and sexually assaulted while passed out.
She came to with a 53-year-old man on top of her trying to rape her. She managed to somehow fight him off and get away.
None of this is in dispute, yet the attacker only got probation. Is there more to this story than what was in the article? Because it sure seems to me that this man belongs in prison … not free to prey on other children.
