Cranberry KFC employees eligible for free tuition

Employees at Cranberry Township’s KFC are now eligible for 100% paid tuition at Western Governors University.

The KFC Foundation has partnered with the online university to provide accessibility for employees at participating locations.

Western Governors University is an accredited online university offering more than 60 bachelor’s and master’s degree programs and certifications. Access to the tuition program is available to employees from day one at the KFC location, and the university offers rolling start dates each month.

“What better opportunity to be able to offer team members than a flexible college degree program from Western Governors University that can fit seamlessly into their schedule,” Emma Horn, executive director of the KFC Foundation, said in a statement.

The program is noncompetitive. All employees who complete the application will be enrolled in the program, and there is no requirement to remain at the food chain after graduation.
