Police Reports
These reports were updated at 12:15 p.m., Feb. 24 to reflect that Fennell’s vehicle was struck by Barton’s vehicle. A previous version of this story said Barton’s vehicle was struck.
The following items have been collected from various police departments and district courts:
Feb. 7 — Robert D. Shultz Jr., 33, of Butler, was charged with use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said three digital scales, unused stamp bags, rubber stamps and rubber bands were found during a search of his residence.
Feb. 7 — Anthony E. Obi, 56, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanors of driving under the influence after police said the crashed his vehicle Dec. 26, 2022, on Main Street. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed Obi’s blood alcohol-content at 0.17% with traces of THC. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
Feb. 3 — Torie L. Bish, 35, of Butler, was charged with felony device fraud and misdemeanor theft. Police said she charged $1,090 to a credit card that was not hers.
Feb. 1 — Richard J. Russell, 25, of Butler, was charged with use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said two syringes were found on his person.
Feb. 7 — Brandon J. Gurowski, 30, of Slippery Rock, was charged with misdemeanor drug possession. Police said they found three amphetamine pills on his person.
Feb. 6 — Jamal A. Finley, 45, of Youngstown, Ohio, and Sara Marra, 38, of Butler, were charged with felonies drug sales and conspiracy. Police said Finley arranged for Marra to deliver 3.5 grams of crack cocaine with an undercover officer. Finely was additionally charged with felony criminal use of a communication facility.
Jan. 30 — William J. Hatfield, 20, of Pittsburgh, was charged with misdemeanor drug possession. Police said 20 bags of suspected heroin were found to be his.
Feb. 3 — A 16-year-old juvenile was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police said a marijuana vape pen was found on their person at Butler Senior High School.
Feb. 2 — Katrina Fennell, 26, of Petrolia, and Aleena Barton, 26, of Butler, were involved in a vehicle crash on New Castle Road at Malwood Street. Police said Barton’s vehicle struck Fennell’s vehicle.
Feb. 2 — Terry F. Nemcek, 56, of New Brighton, was charged with two misdemeanors of driving under the influence after police said they stopped him Sept. 4, 2022, on Graham Park Drive. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed Nemcek’s blood alcohol content at 0.258%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
Feb. 2 — Scott McLeod, 51, of Pittsburgh, was charged with misdemeanor DUI after police said they stopped him June 22, 2022, on Route 19. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed traces of Zolpidem in McLeod’s blood.
Jan. 31 — David T. Sterck, 45, of Cranberry Township, was charged with felony eluding an officer, misdemeanors DUI and operating a vehicle without ignition interlock, and several traffic citations after police said they stopped him Jan. 30 on Goehring Road. Police said he showed signs of impairment.
Jan. 26 — Barbara A. Desantis-Skibbe, 49, of Cranberry Township, was charged with two felony DUIs after police said they stopped her on Ehrman Road. Police said she showed signs of impairment.
Feb. 7 — Mary E. Melzer, 41, of Slippery Rock, was charged with misdemeanors DUI and resisting arrest after police said they stopped her Feb. 2 on Franklin Street. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired, and a later breath test showed Melzer’s blood alcohol content at 0.191%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
Feb. 7 — Bailey S. Rowles, 19, of Canonsburg, was charged with misdemeanors use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said two bags of marijuana, a grinder, scale and marijuana pipe were found in her possession.
Feb. 5 — Ethan P. Isaly, 19, of Pittsburgh, was involved in a vehicle crash on East Cooper Street, Slippery Rock Borough. Police said he failed to properly negotiate a turn and collided with a sign, a landscaping stone wall and a decorative lamppost before fleeing the scene.
Jan. 31 — Lawrence J. Tolbart, 61, of Parker, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs after police said he crashed his vehicle Jan. 10 on Main Street in Karns City. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later breath test showed Tolbart’s blood alcohol content at 0.143%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
Jan. 31 — Harold D. Burd, 54, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs after police said they stopped him Jan. 1 on West Jefferson Street in Butler. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed Burd’s blood alcohol content at 0.154%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
Jan. 31 — Haileigh E. Selfridge, 21, of Butler, was involved in a vehicle crash on Harmony Road, Slippery Rock Township. Police said she lost control of her vehicle due to road conditions and struck an embankment, rolling the vehicle.
Jan. 31 — Scott J. Bonella, 42, of Bruin, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs after police said he crashed his vehicle Jan. 28 on Centreville Pike, Brady Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later breath test showed Bonella’s blood alcohol content at 0.169%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
