In all cultures, there are men who abuse their spouses. Let me make an analogy.

Putin (the abusive husband) is beating to death Ukraine (the abused wife) because it wants a divorce. If he can’t have her, nobody can. Sound familiar?

My own party, the Republicans, are disappointing me because of their lukewarm support. We need to do more. Being afraid of escalation is called appeasement. Google Neville Chamberlain.

We must not allow Putin to succeed. If he does, the example will be set that violence works. We must stand up to the bully and defeat him.

Give the Ukrainians everything they need, regardless of cost. If your neighbor is being beaten, don’t turn your back on them.
