Loretta J. Bell
Loretta J. Bell, 69, of Harrisville, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023, in Mount Hope Home in Meadville, following a three-year illness.
Loretta was born in Grove City on March 30, 1953, to Norman D. and Mildred (McGowan) Bell.
Loretta grew up in Harrisville. She was raised in the Catholic faith, and she was a graduate of Slippery Rock High School.
She served in the U.S. Army.
Loretta was the first female post commander of the American Legion Post 852 in Harrisville.
Loretta retired from George Junior Republic, where she was a cook for over 30 years.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey M. Bell and his wife, Amber, of Clarks Mills; two grandchildren, Trenton and Brendan Bell; four sisters, Peggy Heldorfer, Barbara Hershelman, Eileen Bell and Sandra Bell; and five brothers, Raymond, Charles, Jim Paul, Jack and Edward Bell.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, William and Daniel Bell.
BELL — Visitation hours for Loretta J. Bell, who died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bobbie Hunt officiating.
Burial with military honors will be held at Prairie Cemetery in Harrisville.
