This is in response to the letter by George Pikoulas in the Sunday, Jan. 15 Eagle.

You are correct in your facts about the naivety of both Oprah and Ellen, but the cause of their affliction — and many other Hollywood personalities — is the fact that in their minds the world didn’t exist before they were born. It is a common occurrence when you are the center of your own universe.

I’m sure they would be crushed to learn that there was a Little Ice Age between the years 1350 and 1850, and that the weather in Europe during World War II was colder than in the past 150 years.

When you are dealing with Hollywood types, you have to ratchet down your level of intelligence to about Stone-Age levels.
