Choose your sign

A recent controversy in the Butler area is the electronic sign installed at the corner of Bonniebrook Road and Route 422 East. It should be noted that this sign is on private property and was built and paid for by a local businessman and retired veteran.

I noticed another sign today at the intersection of Hanson and New Castle roads. This sign proclaims that we are a “community of love, with no room for hate.” Quite a noble sentiment for an ideal world. The unspoken message is that we are not to hate drugs, drug dealers or the street criminals that infest our streets. We are to gleefully accept corruption in our government and by government officials. We need to turn a loving eye towards those who destroy our children’s childhood with their particular perversions and anti-patriotic brain washing.

We need to hold within our loving arms those who are destroying our once wonderful, free country. Maybe when 20,000 illegals move into our community and drain our meager resources, the love light will really come on.

I took a drive out Route 422 to see the other sign. I sat and watched as it cycled through its messages a couple of times to observe them all. The sign proclaimed some of those things that are bringing America to it knees.

There wasn’t anything on the sign that wasn’t true and pertinent.

Two signs: one fantasy, one realistic. Your choice to decide.
