I am so discouraged that the dog park was closed for no good reason. All other dog parks that I know of in Pa. and around the country stay open all year round.

Jade’s dog park is so very important for the people and the dogs. Dogs need regular exercise and socializing, as do people. With COVID now in its 3rd year, so many have been cooped up in the house with proven psychological and physical effects.

Those of us who go to the park have become good friends who look forward to seeing each other every day. That is why we tried to look out for the disabled. When they close the road to the park because they are to lazy to plow, before it even starts snowing, we always complain. Some of us can walk from where they were forcing us to park but some cannot.

Since complaining to the director — who makes $72,000 a year, does not live in Butler County and does very little in winter — did no good, we took our complaints to the commissioners. Now even those of us willing to walk cannot use the park.

Please give us back our park and do the job you are paid to do: maintain the roads.
