Freeport girls roll past Armstrong bowlers

Julia Cummings rolled three games over 200, including a 218, to lead Freeport’s girls to a 7-0 sweep of Armstrong on Wednesday.

Cummings finished with a 622 series, tops among all bowlers in the match.

Emma Windows added a 605 series, Mackensie Livingston a single game of 214 and Kylie McConahy a 203 for the Yellowjackets.

In the boys’ match, Freeport dropped a 7-0 decision to the River Hawks despite a 623 series and 244 game from Colin Cummings and a pair of 200 games from Dylan Granata.

Jay Clover’s 20 points paced a fine effort from A-C Valley, but the Falcons dropped a 65-56 decision to Redbank Valley in New Bethlehem.

Ryan Cooper added 14 points in defeat and Brody Dittman chipped in 10 points.

A-C Valley (6-7) trailed 33-23 at halftime.
