After a sluggish first quarter, Freeport’s girls basketball team responded by outscoring Burrell 29-10 over the next two periods and cruised to a 47-23 victory over the Bucs Tuesday at the St. Joseph Holiday Tournament in Natrona Heights.

The Yellowjackets (4-5) received strong efforts from Ava Soilis, who scored 16 points, and Morgan Croney, who drained 15 points.
