Slippery Rock Borough will be picking up leaves in yards the first three weeks of November — from Nov. 1 through Nov. 18. Residents are asked to rake their leaves in neat piles within 3 feet of the curb or sidewalk. Only leaves will be picked up. No woody materials, seed pods or other yard waste will be accepted.

The leaves collected are used as compost at Slippery Rock University’s Macoskey Center for Sustainable Education and Research.
