My goal of 100 wins may seem like a far-off star that I'll never reach ... or it can be a beacon. I choose to look at it as the latter.

I was 9-2 last week, putting my season record at 78-18. I may not even have 22 more games left to pick, depending on how many teams make the playoffs and how far they can go. But until the campaign is officially done, I'm holding out hope.

The weeks of 10 and 11 games are behind us. Only nine are on the schedule this week, the final one of the regular season. From here on out, there will be fewer games to break down each Thursday. I aim to go out with a bang.

With that in mind, let's dive in.

Butler at Latrobe — The Golden Tornado will avoid finishing the regular season with a fifth straight loss.

Score: Butler 33-28

Seneca Valley at North Allegheny — Losses by the Raiders and Canon-McMillan would bring SV's season to an end. North Allegheny is 8-1 for a reason, but I like the Raiders to take care of business to earn a playoff spot.

Score: Seneca Valley 16-14

Valley at Knoch — This game will be played at Butler's Art Bernardi Stadium. The winless Knights have endured some heart-breaking losses this season. Finally, the frustration belongs to their opposition.

Score: Knoch 26-22

North Catholic at Mars — Stock in the Planets has dropped with two straight losses. I don't see them falling for a third consecutive week.

Score: Mars 35-20

Deer Lakes at Freeport — The Yellowjackets playing at home with a chance to run the table in the Allegheny Six Conference ... there's no way I'm picking against them.

Score: Freeport 39-13

Clearfield at Karns City — Clearfield has a powerful ground game and has been more consistent this season.

Score: Clearfield 30-21

Keystone at Moniteau — After a 3-0 start to the season, injuries have hampered the Panthers, who have lost three of their last four. They earn some much-needed momentum entering the District 9 playoffs.

Score: Keystone 28-8

Union/A-C Valley at Punxsutawney — The Falcon Knights would likewise love to enter the postseason on a winning note, but the Chucks will dash those hopes.

Score: Punxsutawney 33-18

Summit Academy at Union (New Castle) — The Scotties will prove too much for the Knights.

Score: Union 47-14
