Cody Hendrych-Bondra's goal in the first half was all Bethel Park's boys soccer team needed in a 1-0 victory over Mars Saturday in a WPIAL Class 3A first-round playoff.

Mars finishes the season with an overall record of 10-7. Bethel Park improved to 14-5.

Plum 6, North Catholic 2 — Anthony Canzian and Marcus Kurtz both scored for the Trojans (7-7-3), but the second-seeded Mustangs prevailed in this Class 3A first-round playoff.

Tristin Ralph and TJ Schrecongost both scored twice for Plum (17-1-1).
