Saturday marks the 20-year anniversary of the opening of Jazzie Nails Salon, 305 W. Water St., Saxonburg. To celebrate, a customer appreciation day will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Salon founder and owner Lori Porter, of Butler, says it’s a small way to thank the loyal customers who have given her a career she loves.

“I feel blessed to have had such longstanding customers, and I look forward to celebrating 20 years with them,” Porter says. “I truly love what I do.”

Saturday a Galaxy Donut truck will serve hot dogs and donuts, and Heritage Winery will provide hot cider. There will be a basket raffle with items donated by local businesses. All proceeds go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Porter said.

She says she chose the foundation because it “touches people who are sometimes experiencing the most difficult thing they will ever encounter, and it gives them hope.”

There will be about 25 baskets with such items as pet supplies, hair care products, home decor, wine and gift certificates.
