Sept. 19 — Jonathan P. Twiss, 50, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault. Police said they investigated a domestic incident Sept. 18 on West Jefferson Street. Police said Twiss’ ex-girlfriend accused him of slamming her head against a wall and cutting her with a paring knife.

Sept. 19 — Keewon B. Taylor, 23, and Jonathan M. Perez, 20, both of Youngstown, Ohio, were charged with misdemeanor counts of drug and paraphernalia possession. Police said they stopped Taylor’s vehicle March 4 on West Jefferson Street, Butler. Police said during a search of their vehicle, they found prescription pills. Police said neither man claimed ownership of the pills.

Sept. 19 — Christian M. Conner, 18, of Renfrew, was charged with misdemeanor drug and marijuana possession. Police said they stopped his vehicle Sept. 4 on East Fulton Street. Police said that after asking him to exit the vehicle, they spotted marijuana stuck to his jeans, as well as inside the vehicle. Police said during a later search of the vehicle, they also found THC wax and prescription pills.

8:40 p.m. Sept. 19 — Police investigated a report of criminal mischief at a home on the 800 block of Mahood Road. Police said someone shot a BB gun from a vehicle as it passed by, and the shot hit and damaged a window facing the road. Police said the damage is valued at $300. Anyone with information is asked to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.

Sept. 15 — Two people were charged following a police investigation into a one-vehicle crash June 25 on West Sunbury Road, Marion Township. The driver, Bradley J. Huff, 30, of Eau Claire, was charged with misdemeanor DUI after police said he refused to have his blood tested for the investigation. Police received a search warrant for his hospital record that night showing his blood-alcohol content at 0.253%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%. A passenger, Trisha M. Huff, 28, of Eau Claire, was charged with misdemeanor drug possession. Police said she was found with a small amount of meth during her treatment at a hospital following the crash.
