Satisfactory not good enough
I'm coming off an 8-3 effort, yet another week in Satisfactoryville. I feel like I'm flying into the wind and it's taking all my strength just to remain in the air.
My record for the season stands at 33-11. What I need is a perfect week ... or close to it.
My thinking cap is on. Let's see if I can revive in Week 5.
Butler at Erie — The Royals have had trouble on both sides of the ball this season. They are the clear underdogs with the Golden Tornado coming to town.
Score: Butler 33-17
Seneca Valley at Mt. Lebanon — The Raiders figured some things out on defense last week, but now face the defending WPIAL and state champion Blue Devils.
Score: Mt. Lebanon 20-17
Moon at Mars — Two teams headed in opposite directions. The Planets will be too much for the winless Tigers.
Score: Mars 41-6
Elizabeth Forward at Knoch — The Knights finally get a home game. They'll keep this one close, but the Warriors remain unbeaten.
Score: Elizabeth Forward 24-16
Mount Pleasant at Freeport — I see this being a very close game, but just can't pick the Yellowjackets to lose for the second straight week.
Score: Freeport 27-23
Kiski Area at North Catholic — The Trojans are struggling on offense, but will receive a reprieve against the winless Cavaliers.
Score: North Catholic 34-7
Karns City at Moniteau — Defense is the strength of both teams. Turnovers have been a thorn in the Warriors' side and I expect them to play a prominent role in this outcome.
Score: Karns City 19-14
Kane at Union/A-C Valley — I jumped off the Falcon Knights' bandwagon last week and they defeated a good Brockway team on the road. They bring that winning feeling back to Rimersburg to take down the Wolves.
Score: Union/A-C Valley 30-12
Slippery Rock at Grove City — Things that went right for the Rockets in the first three weeks turned against them in a loss to Sharpsville last week. Preparing for the backyard-rival Eagles will keep them focused.
Score: Slippery Rock 28-20
Summit Academy at Northgate — The Knights and Flames look to be pretty even on paper and the final score will reflect that.
Score: Northgate 25-18
Scoop refuses to fold like the Pirates did Tuesday night.
