Butler’s superhero
I was saddened to see the passing of Paul Gaudino, the Exercise Man. Paul was a friend of mine and attended many of our oldies dances, always looking dapper. I was honored to appear on his exercise show filmed at the Meridian Vets Club.
I was in charge of selling his veteran towels and license plates for the Meridian Vets for him, which benefited the Vets club and local veteran groups. I always hoped that Paul would be inducted to the Butler Hall of Fame, even though his exercise program was not a sport, but a helpful thing to keep sportsmen healthy and fit.
He helped many elderly people to keep fit with his 44-year fitness program in Butler and the surrounding areas. I thank him for his service to our country and communities. He will be missed.
