Three Butler County professionals celebrated for their customer service

Three professionals received honors for exceptional customer service Wednesday night at Della Terra Restaurant in Zelienople.

Winners included:

• Jim Crawford of Thoma’s Meat Market for first place

• Amanda Herr of Cranberry Highlands Golf Course for second place

• Lori Korn of Forever Kindred Boutique for third place

The recognition comes from Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau’s Service Excellence Program, which seeks to promote a culture of service in the community.

“Understanding the importance of outstanding customer service — and recognizing those who consistently deliver it — can only reap benefits for any organization,” said Jack Cohen, president of Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau. “By focusing on the fundamentals of a great customer experience, we cultivate an environment where excellent customer service is recognized and rewarded county-wide.”

Each of the winners also brought home cash prizes of $500, $250 and $100, respectively.

14 other professionals also garnered nominations and gift certificates for their outstanding customer service. These nominees included:

• Riley Lang of Neff Hause Ice Cream Shop

• Caley King of North Country Brewing Co.

• Annalease Folk of Eat-n-Park at Clearview Mall

• Troy Rasely of Longhorn Steakhouse

• Haley McMaster of WunderBar Coffee & Crepes Cafe

• Hope Roberts of the Birdwatchers Store

• Eriz Lazor of the Donut Connection

• Michelle Skal of Monroe Hotel

• Gina Gennaro of Cannella Cafe

• Jessica Buffington of Pennie’s Bake Shop and Espresso Bar

• Ron Carter of the Strand Theater

• Jennifer Scanlon of the Pittsburgh Marriot North & Courtyard

• Beth Miller of Eva Brynn Shoetique

• Sarah Rothrock of Sips & Sweets

A nine-member panel called “Ambassadors of Excellence” selected nominees and winners after visiting Tourism Bureau member businesses and then paring their choices down to three top candidates.

“Butler County is a special place with special people,” Cohen said. “When employees display outstanding customer service skills. they should be recognized, as they are a reflection of what we’re all about.”
