In a battle on the links between a pair of boys teams who split their section’s crown a year ago, Mars came away with a 187-195 victory over Seneca Valley at Rittswood Golf Course on Monday.

Seven golfers combined shot under 40. The Planets’ Ryan Steigerwald carded a 35, while Payton Brown finsihed with a 36 for the Raiders.

Butler 194, North Hills 230 — Butler’s top three golfers each had a sub-40 score in the Golden Tornado’s win over North Hills at Slippery Rock Golf Club on Monday.

Wyatt Kos (36), Ryan Porch (36) and Ben Hohn (39) led the way for Butler (3-1, 1-1).

North Hills was paced by Kasey Tora’s 42.

Freeport 213, Valley 263 — Nate Covey and Cam Zigo both carded a 41 to lead the Yellowjackets (3-0, 2-0) to this victory at Buffalo Golf Course.
