The community section of the paper on June 6 congratulated Butler High School honor students, who graduated with distinction. We are proud of our schools, teachers and students, and I wish them continued success in the future.

On a different note, I was disappointed not to see any students of color being recognized in any way. It seems to me that the celebration would have been better if it reflected the diversity of our community.
