SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock High School senior Shane Thompson has been named District 10, Region 2 Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Year.

Thompson was also named a first team outfielder and pitcher in the region.

Rocket junior third baseman Brett Galcik and junior outfielder Sal Mineo were named first team Region 2 as well. In softball, Slippery Rock sophomore third baseman Ciana D’Antoni was named Region 4 second team.
