Thousands enjoy beach day at Moraine State Park

Thousands of people took to the beaches of Moraine State Park to cool off the weekend of June 26 and 27 in 1971.
On Saturday, the park recorded an attendance of 12,676 people with around 3,000 swimming, and on Sunday there was an attendance of 40,972 with 17,766 swimming.
Additionally, two scuba divers received authorization to dive into the swimming area of Lake Arthur to look for lost articles.
