The Seneca Valley boys volleyball team’s season came to an end Tuesday with a 3-1 loss to McDowell in the first round of the Class 3A state playoffs in Erie.
The host Trojans, District 10 champions, topped the Raiders by scores of 25-20, 25-22, 22-25 and 25-22.
The Raiders received 15 kills from Nate DeGraaf and Dawson Ward added 13 kills. Aidan Uher dished out 39 assists.
SV ends the season with an overall record of 15-3.
Girls Lacrosse
District 3 champion Twin Valley overwhelmed Mars, 23-2, in a Class 2A first-round state playoff in Berks County.
The Raiders (23-1) outscored the Planets 9-1 in the first 10 minutes of the game.
Mars, the WPIAL runner-up, finishes the season with a record of 14-5.
