Selker leads Freeport win
Sydney Selker struck out 11 and scattered four hits Friday as Freeport’s girls softball team defeated McKeesport, 7-2, at Freeport Community Park.
Selker had two singles in the game as well. Savanna Urik contributed three singles and Abby DeJidas doubled.
M.Miller struck out 11 in a losing cause for McKeesport.
Burrell 1, Knoch 0 — Brynnae Coe was a hard-luck loser for the Knights, striking out seven and allowing only three hits. Burrell scored the game’s lone run in the second inning.
Katie Armstrong struck out 16 and scattered five hits for Burrell. Brynne Smith had two singles for Knoch while Coe and Madi Gardner doubled.
Boys Tennis
Seneca Valley’s Michael deVyver defeated Andrew Bocci in a nearly four-hour singles match and the Raiders defeated Butler, 4-1, Thursday.
