Freeport’s boys and girls track and field teams secured their first dual meet wins of the season Thursday against Highlands.

Isaac Wetzel won both hurdle events as the Yellowjacket boys rolled to a 75-37 victory. Reese Skiba won the shot put, discus and javelin as the girls romped to a 74-40 triumph.

The jumping events and pole vault were not contested.

Both Freeport teams (1-1) host Kiski Area on Tuesday.

Union/A-C Valley split a meet with Clarion-Limestone, the boys winning 82-63 and trhe girls losing by an 85-61 count. Landon Chalmers won the discus and javelin for the Falcon Knights.

Matt Gianneski had six kills, but Butler dropped a 3-0 decision at North Allegheny. Scores were 25-7, 27-25, 25-6.
