State Rep. Marci Mustello, R-11th, asked for students and schools in Butler County to participate in her poster coloring contest in honor of Autism Awareness Month in April.

There will be nine winners across school districts in the 11th Legislative District. The age groups are kindergarten to fifth; sixth to eighth; and ninth to 12th with a different poster appropriate for each age group.

Students must write their name, school and grade/age on their submission. A three-judge panel will choose the winners in each age group May 9. Mustello will present a special prize to the winners.

Schools interested in participating should contact Mustello’s office at 724-283-5852 and indicate how many posters are needed for each age group. Mustello’s staff will deliver copies of the posters to each participating school along with the guidelines.
