Sentence Court

The following defendants were sentenced Thursday in Butler County Common Pleas Court by Judge Timothy F. McCune.

James Thomas Matuke Jr., 56, of Butler was sentenced to serve 24 to 60 months in state prison after pleading guilty to a felony charge of possession with intent to deliver filed by Butler County detectives after county drug task force officers executed a search warrant at his home in November 2020. He was given credit for 322 days previously served in jail.

Seized during the search were four baggies containing a total of about 38 grams of suspected crack cocaine, a baggie containing 7.4 grams of suspected heroin, packaging materials, a package of new syringes and a digital scale, police said. He was charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver and possession of controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. No action was taken on the other charges.

Leroy Donald Bowser Jr., 54, of Tionesta, was sentenced to serve 12 to 36 months in state prison and ordered to pay $13,620 in restitution after pleading guilty to a felony charge of burglary filed by state police after Bowser stole a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, a Yamaha all-terrain vehicle, a Stihl concrete saw and other tools, aluminum vehicle rims and two CB radios from the garage of a business in Northern Butler County in July 2019. The property is valued at approximately $50,000. Two other men were charged in the burglary.

William Jerrell Hoston, 47, of Arnold, Md., was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in prison, pay fines totaling $1,025 and complete alcohol highway safety school, 40 hours of community service, litter pickup and a victim impact panel after pleading guilty to driving under the influence and a summary traffic violation filed by state police following a May 29, 2021, incident. Other charges were dismissed.

Justin Biesenkamp, 54, of South Heights, Beaver County, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation including 60 days of house arrest, pay $722.64 in restitution to Walmart and pay a $500 fine after pleading guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit retail theft, retail theft and driving with a suspended license filed by Cranberry Township police following a Nov. 17, 2016, incident. Two other people were charged in the case.

Matthew Blumling, 35, of Saxonburg, was sentenced to serve 24 months of probation, including 90 days of house arrest, and pay $1,605 in restitution to two victims after pleading guilty to charges in two cases. He pleaded guilty to a charge of theft filed by Cranberry Township police following an April 13, 2020, incident. In the second case, he pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal trespass filed by state police following a June 22, 2021, incident.

Kaitlyn Nicole Johnston, 25, of Kittanning was sentenced to serve a combined 12 months of probation, including 14 days of house arrest, pay a $1,000 fine and complete 40 hours of community service, litter pickup, a victim impact panel and alcohol highway safety school after pleading guilty to charges of DUI and possession of a controlled substance filed by state police following a June 23, 2021, incident. Other charges were dismissed.

David Patrick Seachrist, 37, of East Brady, was sentenced to serve 60 months of probation, including 105 days of house arrest, pay a $1,500 fine and complete alcohol highway safety school, 40 hours of community service, a victim impact panel and litter pickup after pleading guilty to a second DUI offense filed by state police following a June 24, 2021, incident. Other charges were dismissed.

Destiny Sage Stemmerich, 26, of Slippery Rock, was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in prison, pay fines totaling $1,200 and complete alcohol highway safety school, 40 hours of community service, a victim impact panel and litter pickup after pleading guilty to charges of DUI and driving without a license filed by state police following a May 26, 2021, incident. Other charges were dismissed.

Clair Lee Greenway III, 45, of Slippery Rock, was sentenced to pay a $500 fine after pleading guilty to a charge of statement under penalty filed by state police following an Aug. 26, 2021, incident.

Terry A. Graham, 51, unknown address, was sentenced to serve six months of probation, including 90 days of house arrest, pay fines totaling $500 and complete alcohol highway safety school, 40 hours of community service, a victim impact panel and litter pickup after pleading guilty to DUI and a summary traffic violation filed by Butler Township police following a July 17, 2021, incident. Other charges were dismissed.

Marsha Diane Lavrich, 48, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation after pleading guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct filed by Butler Township police following an Aug. 27, 2020, incident.

Robert Lee Miller, 49, of West Sunbury, was sentenced to serve 24 months of probation and pay fines totaling $100 after pleading guilty to charges of terroristic threats in two cases. State police filed charges in both incidents that occurred April 3 and 4 last year.

Kurt Ryan Kelly, 44, unknown address, was sentenced to serve six months of probation, including 14 days of house arrest, pay a $1,000 fine and complete alcohol highway safety school, 40 hours of community service, a victim impact panel and litter pick up after pleading guilty to a charge of DUI filed by state police following a March 11, 2021, incident. Other charges were dismissed.

Melissa Ann Marie Kump, 49, of Guys Mills, was sentenced to complete 25 hours of community service after pleading guilty to a charge of possession of a controlled substance filed by Cranberry Township police following a Feb. 20, 2021, incident.
